We are yet to meet a member of the fairer sex who doesn’t have a soft spot for the cutest Kitty of them all! It must be her sweet white face, the cute little bow and her fashionista reputation that has grown women following her every move – and buying the merchandise! Born and bred in Japan, Hello Kitty recently celebrated her 50th birthday with lots of limited edition Hello Kitty memorabilia marking this special occasion. But what do you get a kitten that has everything her heart desires? She has the cellphone and the shoes and the jewellery and the house and even a hospital and a toaster… After much gift shopping it was recently revealed that Hello Kitty will be getting her very own theme park situated outside of Japan! With already two theme parks in Japan forming part of the Kitty Empire, this theme park is the first of its kind outside of Japan and construction will start in July. According to www.latimes.com, based on the existing Sanrio theme parks in Japan, this is what you can expect:

“For the uninitiated, a Hello Kitty theme park looks like a cross between Legoland, Thomas Town kiddie lands and Disneyland's Fantasyland, with a heavy dose of Japanese cute and cuddly "kawaii" kitsch. Dubbed "The Cutest Place on Earth," the theme parks offer rides, shows, movies, games and parades based on Hello Kitty and her friends My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Badtz-Maru and others.

Attractions at Puroland in Japan include: Sanrio Character Boat Ride; “Time Machine of Dreams" special effects 3-D film; "Believe" parade; "Hello Kitty in the Magical Land of Oz" musical revue; Character meet-and-greet locations.”
Definitely sounds like The Cutest Place on Earth!
