Lagerfeld’s quest for creative diversity and uniqueness knows no bounds and the new Chanel ad campaign featuring his gleaming and gorgeous Spring Summer 2012 under the sea garments furthers that mission once again. Styled by Carine Roitfeld, Lagerfeld said to WWD of the campaign, “[It is] all about athletics and the sea. It’s very modern sportif and in black-and-white.”

The shots are quiet and strong and the one where the two models are perched on balance beams is just inspiring – they almost look like birds on a telephone pole. Photographed by Karl Lagerfeld at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc we surely can’t wait to see the campaign in Vogue’s glossy upfront pages.
