The annual Cannes Film Festival is known for its sweeping glamour and this year is no different. Kicking off on Monday, high voltage couture is in full force at every red carpet premier and celebrities really go all out for the sake of Cannes. Think Angelina in that electric yellow Ungaro gown from a couple of years ago, or Natalie Portman in a white origami Givenchy creation in 2008 – full on glamour! This year Salma Hayek looked hot in Gucci, Uma Thurman showed leg in Versace and Diane Kruger sizzled in Calvin Klein. 

But our stand-out fashion stars of Cannes both donned Marchesa, and looked breathtaking!

First up, Rachel McAdams in an intricate “embroidered red illusion dress with appliqué cascade skirt and shoulder” dress from Marchesa. She looks so beautiful and we love the sleeve detail, dreamy train and of course her hair and makeup perfectly completing this fairytale fashion moment.

Secondly, new mom Penelope Cruz wore a “smoke sky jewel encrusted illusion dress with flare tulle skirt and shoulder detail” again by Marchesa. This fantasy dress took the red carpet at the premier of Pirates of the Caribbean and Penelope looked so soft and feminine.

Known for their artistry and feminine style, Marchesa designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are red carpet goddesses, and Cannes proved it yet again.
