The first time we heard of fashion designer Alexander Wang was when he got a CFDA nomination in 2008 – only a year after he showed his first womenswear collection. Since then he has become a favourite of models like Erin Wasson and celebs like Diane Kruger and Zoë Kravitz for his downtown cool signature. His style is known as “model off duty” and includes lots of masculine-inspired separates, simple knits, a severe love of the colour black and with the likes of style.com calling him “…one of New York's fashion stars”, Alexander Wang is definitely one to watch.

 

 

His latest fashion accomplishment happened only days ago when he won the prestigious CFDA award for best accessories designer. This award inspired us to take a step away from his cool clothing and take a closer look at his accessories and why they bagged him Accessories Designer of the Year. His style is urban, modern, edgy inspired by the city he lives in – New York. It’s no-fuss fashion, cool and unique. We adore the sunglasses and of course his butter-soft leather bags!
